When you come across calling connection issue,

 

please try to solve it with below solutions: 

 

 

1. Call method.

 

For outgoing calls, please press the call button 

 

for over 1s then release. 

 

 

2. Network issue.

 

Try both mobile data and Wi-Fi, to see if imo 

 

can't connect calls under both networks, and 

 

check if your other apps work well. 

 

 

3. Update imo to the latest version

 

 

4. Network restriction

 

Check with your friends around whether 

 

they can call with imo or not. 

 

 

If not, then imo is likely to be blocked by the

 

local government. You or the other side may 

 

contact local VPN supplier for VPN service.

 

 

Network restricted areas include:

 

Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Yeman, Oman, Iran, 

 

Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, etc.

 

 

6. Ensure the caller/recipient online. 

 

You may send him/her messages before 

 

making a call. 

 

 

Message Status:

 

Single check '': not reach.

 

Double checks '√√': reached; 

 

Round circle 'o': already read. 

 

Red sign '!': network problem. 

 

 

When he sets Read Receipts ( in settings 

 

- privacy ) as 'nobody', it will not show 

 

a round circle 'o' even after read. 

 

 

7. Ensure the call recipient is willing to 

 

receive your call.

 

 

a. You need to send him/her friend 

 

request and wait for his/her acceptance

 

 

b. You are blocked by him/her:

 

Your call failure shows "your buddy is 

 

not online" and all the messages you

 

sent always show 1 check (√). 

 

 

8. Ensure the caller/recipient do not block 

 

imo.

 

 

a. Allow and keep imo stay on your phone 

 

background. 

 

 

b. Remove imo from the lock screen clean 

 

up list of your phone and security apps.

 

 

c. Turn on imo call/notifications (sound

 

/pop up/banner/lock screen, etc.) in 

 

phone system setting.

time or restarting imo?
