Upon the completion of Tawaf, the circumambulation of the Kaaba, it is a revered Sunnah to perform two Rakaahs of prayer. This practice is highly recommended for those who have undertaken the Tawaf as part of their Hajj or Umrah rituals, as well as for those engaging in voluntary circumambulation. During these prayers, it is customary to recite Surat Al Kafirun in the first Rakaah and Surat Al Ikhlaas in the second, symbolizing the declaration of monotheism and exclusive worship of Allah, who is without any partners.
Ideally, these two Rakaah should be offered behind the Maqam Ibrahim, positioning it between oneself and the Kaaba, provided it does not cause undue hardship. However, adherence to the guidance of security officers regarding the location of prayer is paramount for safety and order. While the two Rakaah can be performed at any suitable location within the Grand Mosque, priority is given to those engaged in Tawaf near the Kaaba. This act of prayer after Tawaf is a profound expression of faith, reaffirming the worshipper's devotion and submission to Allah.
