We understand your concerns about data
consumption.
The frequent use of the following features
under a mobile network may lead to high
mobile data consumption:
1. Make audio/video calls in a mobile network;
2. Enter VoiceRoom for the first time (loading
gifts consumes much data);
3. Frequently share and receive videos and
pictures in private chat or Story.
You may turn off the auto-save of media items
in your profile page
- Settings
- Storage & Data
- "Auto-Save after Receive/Send".
To help us better understand your concern,
you can also feedback your problem to us for
assistance in [Feedback Center].
Please include screenshots indicating your data
usage and answers to the following questions in
your feedback:
1. Which feature do you think has caused high
data consumption?
2. Were there other apps running in the back
ground at the same time?
3. Did the high data consumption happen after
your last upgrade of imo, or did it happen all
the time?
*Turn on the 'Upload log' switch in your
feedback. It helps us look into your issue and
provide better solutions.
To help you save your mobile data usage, we
recommend:
1. Make audio/video calls while connecting to a
WiFi network.
2. Enable the low data mode in [Settings] -
[Storage & Data] - [Low Data Mode].
Note:
1. Sorry, this feature is not yet supported on
iOS devices.
2. Low data mode does not support video calls.
