imo supports both private groups and public Big Groups. To create a private group, tap the “+” icon in the bottom-left corner, select “New Group”, choose “Private Group”, and add members. To create a public Big Group, you first need to join any public group and stay in it for more than 120 minutes. Then tap “+” > “New Group” and choose the option to create a public Big Group.
Open the group chat, tap the phone or video icon in the top-right corner, then select the group members you want to invite to the call. Group video calls can include up to 20 people at a time.
Android: Open the imo app, tap the “Contacts” icon at the top, then tap “Call History” to view your group call history. If you don’t see this option, update imo to the latest version and try again. iOS: You can view your group call history in imo under “Contacts” > “Call History”, or in your iPhone’s call history.
The group owner can add or remove members and can also give other members permission to add new members. Open the group info and tap “Add Members” to add someone. To remove a member, tap the three dots next to their name and select “Remove”.
Type “@” in the message box to display the group’s member list. Select the person you want to mention, then write and send your message. They’ll see an “@” indicator next to the unread messages in the chat list, helping them find your mention and reply.
