In the Holy Qur’an, Allah refers to it as al-Mash'ar al-Haram: (But when you depart from 'Arafat, remember Allah at al-Mash'ar al-Haram). This sacred place is a significant stage of the Hajj journey, situated between Mina and Arafah. Pilgrims spend the night there after leaving Arafah, combining and shortening their Maghrib and Isha prayers and gathering pebbles for Jamarat in Mina. They stay at al-Mash'ar al-Haram for part of the night or until the dawn of the next day, which is the day of Eid, before moving on to Mina.
