Mina, a significant stage of the Hajj journey, is known for its sprawling white tents and has recently been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest tent city in the world. This remarkable site offers a wide range of services, including the Mashaer Train, housing camps, catering, transportation system, integrated electricity system, and interconnected road network, catering to the needs of pilgrims. Pilgrims typically spend the Day of Tarwiyah (the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah) in Mina before returning to Mina again to observe the Day of Nahr (the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah) and the three days of Tashreeq (the eleventh, the twelfth, and thirteenth days of Dhul-Hijjah).

Mina holds great historical and religious significance, being situated within the boundaries of the Haram between Makkah and Muzdalifah, approximately 7 km to the northeast of the Holy Mosque. The area is renowned for its archaeological landmarks and historical events. Additionally, Mina encompasses the extension of “Ain Zubaida” and several ancient wells, including the well of Kadana.

Moreover, Mina is famous for its historical seasonal markets, such as the Arab Market, which earned its name due to the majority of Arab pilgrims showcasing their goods from the tenth day to the thirteenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah. These markets have played a pivotal role in the cultural and economic exchange among pilgrims from various regions.
