The Grand Mosque of Makkah houses a total of 68 prayer halls specifically designated for women. These prayer halls are strategically located throughout the mosque, with 20 of them situated in the Mataf courtyard, King Fahd expansion, and basements, while the remaining 48 are housed within the third Saudi expansion. Over 120 female employees diligently oversee these prayer halls, working in four shifts to ensure their smooth operation. Additionally, specific prayer halls are designated for women with disabilities, equipped with smart robot guidance to provide fatwas, explain rituals, issue fatwas, answer questions, and facilitate remote communication with sheikhs in multiple languages.
The female employees responsible for the women prayer halls offer a range of essential services, including guiding and organizing the rows of women during prayers, ensuring the seamless movement of women in dedicated corridors and facilities, managing the opening and closing of prayer halls based on capacity, and providing guidance and advice to female visitors. They also conduct educational sessions to teach women how to pray, perform ablution and funeral prayers, and offer correction and guidance for the recitation of the Holy Quran.
Furthermore, the women prayer halls offer guidance and counseling services in various international languages, catering to the diverse linguistic needs of the mosque's visitors. The dedication and commitment of the female employees in these prayer halls play a crucial role in ensuring that women visiting the Grand Mosque of Makkah have access to the necessary support and resources to engage in their religious practices with confidence and ease.
