A team of religious scholars, university students, Sharia court officials, and teachers from religious institutes are available to answer questions from Hajj and Umrah pilgrims regarding rituals and legal matters. This service is provided through a program offered by the General Administration for Guidance and Counseling in the Grand Mosque of Makkah. There are a total of 19 program offices within the Grand Mosque, which also distribute helpful guidance and legal leaflets.
The Ifta Offices consist of 10 offices located inside the Grand Mosque of Makkah, as well as 9 cabins situated in the outer courtyards and entrances to the Grand Mosque. These offices operate 24 hours a day to cater to the needs of pilgrims. In the event of crowded Ifta offices, pilgrims are encouraged to use the free dial phones available at King Abdulaziz Gate, King Fahd Gate, and at the Ifta offices, where they will receive direct assistance upon picking up the phone.
Additionally, there is a service called Robot Guidance that provides fatwa services and information in a modern electronic format for women visiting the Grand Mosque. This service is available in several women's prayer halls within the Grand Mosque and offers information on how to perform the Hajj and Umrah rituals in 11 different languages spoken around the world.
